Villefranche-sur-Mer
On a summer road trip in the south of France, my brother and I stumbled across the charming Villefranche-sur-Mer, a sleepy seaside village just a hop and skip away from Nice. Dotted with colorful, cheery, sun-filled streets, cozy beaches, and the brilliant blue Mediterranean sea, it's a hidden gem quietly tucked away in the Côte d'Azur. After visiting Nice and Cannes, both beautiful but crawling with tourists, Villefranche-sur-Mer was the perfect pause to catch our breath and enjoy picnics in the sun, scoops of strawberry ice cream, and a refreshing dip in the ocean. Let's all escape to the south of France, shall we?
